Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has confirmed that he is close to signing a new long-term contract with the club. Insider Florian Plettenberg shared the England captain’s remarks on social media platform X.
“It’s a matter of days, not weeks. We had very positive talks over the weekend and continued them today. An extension is inevitable. Only a few minor details remain to be resolved,” Kane said.
According to Plettenberg, the 33-year-old’s new contract with Bayern will run until the summer of 2029.
Kane has played for Bayern since August 2023, joining the Munich club from London side Tottenham Hotspur. The English striker received the Ballon d’Or for the first time in his professional career at a ceremony in London on October 26.
