Azerbaijani MMA fighter Farman Hasanov posted on social media after suffering the first defeat of his professional career in the UFC. On his Instagram page, he wrote: “Thanks to Almighty God for everything.”
The 31-year-old fighter faced American Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani at a UFC event in Las Vegas. The welterweight bout was stopped in the third round.
Doctors did not allow Hasanov to continue after he sustained a deep cut. The referee stopped the fight at 2:11 of the third round, awarding the American fighter a technical knockout victory.
