Azerbaijan's Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, has sent a letter of condolences to General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff of the Pakistan Army.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Defense reported that the message was conveyed in response to the recent aviation tragedy.

In his message, Minister Hasanov stated: "I was deeply saddened by the news of the crash of a Pakistan Army Mi-17 helicopter near Muzaffarabad due to a technical malfunction, which resulted in the loss of the crew members."

The Minister extended his deepest sympathies to the families of the victims, stating: "I pray for the souls of those who perished in this aviation accident, share the grief of their loved ones, and offer my deepest condolences to their families. May God rest their souls."

The incident involved a Pakistan Army aviation Mi-17 helicopter that crashed during a routine operation. Pakistan and Azerbaijan maintain strong bilateral military cooperation, frequently conducting joint exercises and high-level defense dialogues, reflecting the strategic partnership between the two nations.
