Blast near Pakistan mosque kills 15, injures more than 50

An explosion occurred near a mosque in Pakistan.

"Operative Information Center-OMM", citing foreign media, reports that the incident occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The blast reportedly took place during Friday prayers. Fifteen people were killed and more than 50 others were injured. Police officers were among those wounded.

The mosque building was seriously damaged in the explosion.

According to the reports, a vehicle carrying explosives crashed into one of the facilities near the mosque.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which borders Afghanistan, has frequently faced militant attacks and security incidents. Authorities have not yet provided further details about the perpetrators or confirmed the circumstances surrounding the blast.
