An opening ceremony has been held for the NATO Level 2 (NEL-2) assessment exercise of a pair of Mi-17-1V helicopters from the Azerbaijani Air Force, under NATO’s Operational Capabilities Concept Programme.
The Ministry of Defense provided the information to “Operative Information Center-OMM”. Participants received detailed information about the exercise’s objectives, safety rules and other important matters. In line with the programme, personnel carried out live-fire tasks at the training ground and took part in practical firefighting drills. The military personnel also completed theoretical and practical tests to assess their individual skills. The exercise, which will run until October 29, aims to assess and certify the declared helicopter pair’s operational capabilities against NATO standards.
