In line with the Feasibility Study prepared by the Azerbaijan Investment Holding, a calcination and anode-baking plant will be built after funding sources are identified and in cooperation with relevant state bodies.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the project is included in the “State Program for the Development of the Mining (Metal Ores) and Metallurgical Industry for 2027–2030,” approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
Under the document, construction and installation work at the plant will be carried out and the supply of key equipment will be ensured. Based on the findings of the Feasibility Study, the calcination and anode-baking plant will be commissioned and anode production will be launched.
Calcination and anode baking are key stages in the production of aluminum and other metallurgical products. The project is intended to support the development of Azerbaijan’s mining and metallurgical industries and strengthen domestic industrial capabilities.
