Formula 1 and the International Automobile Federation (FIA) have announced the 2027 Formula 1 World Championship calendar following its approval by the FIA World Motor Sport Council.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place from Sept. 24 to 26.
The 2027 season will begin with the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 12-14. The final race of the world championship will be held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from Dec. 10 to 12.
The championship will comprise 24 rounds held in 22 countries. The number of sprint races will increase from six to 10 in 2027. The season’s first official pre-season tests will take place from Feb. 24 to 27 at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain. “The 2027 FIA Formula 1 World Championship calendar clearly demonstrates our sport’s growing global popularity and continued development.
Holding 24 Grands Prix across five continents, the return of Portugal and Türkiye to the calendar, and the expansion of the sprint race program bring together tradition, innovation and fan interest while maintaining the highest sporting standards.

Thus, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held on the same dates in 2026 and 2027 — Sept. 24-26.
