A special sporting event, the “BCC F1 Weekend Run,” was held at the Baku City Circuit as part of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, about 250 participants completed the full 6-kilometer lap of the Formula 1 track.
Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov also took part in the event.
The run began at 10 p.m. Participants completed a full lap of the track in the direction used by Formula 1 cars.
The race, which started today, will conclude on Sept. 26.
The Baku City Circuit is one of the most distinctive venues on the Formula 1 calendar, combining fast sections with narrow turns through the historic center of Baku. Events such as the weekend run allow residents and visitors to experience part of the circuit outside the main racing sessions.
