The Milli Majlis (National Assembly) has adopted at third reading a proposal to extend to the medical service the rules for awarding special ranks intended for the penitentiary service to citizens in the reserve of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and reserve officers.
The draft amendments to the Law “On Service in Justice Bodies” were discussed at today’s plenary session of the parliament’s autumn session, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.
The amendments will establish a unified legal framework for awarding special ranks to reserve servicemen appointed to positions in the medical service.
The proposed changes add military personnel to the staffing of the medical service and specify the bodies in which they serve. They also clarify the legal status of military personnel in the medical service and the legal basis for their work.
Following discussion, the bill was put to a vote and adopted at third reading.
