In accordance with the protocol of the 17th Azerbaijan-Türkiye High-Level Military Dialogue Meeting between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Türkiye, a specialized event was held at the Main Logistics Department of the Ministry of Defense to further develop cooperation in military logistics.

According to the Ministry of Defense, as reported to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the event began with a minute of silence to honor the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of both brotherly nations. The national anthems of both countries were played.

Following the established plan, presentations were delivered to the guests regarding the logistics experiences gained during the 44-day Patriotic War, which resulted in the liberation of Azerbaijan's occupied territories. The participants emphasized that the fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye significantly contribute to peace and stability in the region.

The parties discussed the decisive role of logistics on the modern battlefield, exchanging views on strategic warning systems, addressing critical vulnerabilities, and managing autonomous supply periods. Key topics included food and water supply, transportation of logistical assets, the operations of technical maintenance units, medical evacuation of the wounded, and the establishment of field laundry and bathing facilities.

Furthermore, the delegation visited one of the military units to observe the organization of material and food supply systems within the Azerbaijan Army. The event concluded with the signing of a working protocol, the exchange of gifts, and a Q&A session.

Background: Azerbaijan and Türkiye maintain a strategic alliance based on the "one nation, two states" principle. Military cooperation between the two countries has intensified significantly in recent years, particularly following the 2020 Patriotic War, with a focus on modernizing the Azerbaijan Army to align with NATO standards, which Türkiye, as a key NATO member, actively supports.
