Azerbaijan and Sudan have officially approved a mutual visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic passports. This development marks a significant step in deepening bilateral cooperation between the two nations.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev has signed the law approving the "Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of the Sudan on the mutual exemption of visa requirements for diplomatic passport holders."

The agreement was originally signed in Baku on May 19 of this year. Such agreements are standard diplomatic instruments used by the Republic of Azerbaijan to facilitate official travel and foster closer political and administrative relations with international partners. By easing travel restrictions for diplomatic personnel, both countries aim to streamline high-level communications and diplomatic engagement.
