Azerbaijan is an island of stability.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks in a speech at the opening ceremony of the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, themed “Dialogue for a Common Future,” in Baku.
He said everyone should focus on their own responsibilities:
“What happens in other countries is their own business. In our country, we are free from any disrespect or sense of superiority. We are completely free from anyone dictating to us. We stand out for our unwavering position. The achievements Azerbaijan has made over the past 35 years were achieved by the Azerbaijani people. There has been no international assistance. If we look at Azerbaijan’s foreign policy, economy and activities today, we can see that the country’s role has grown significantly. Today, Azerbaijan is an island of stability. Our independent policy has earned us great respect.”
