A 69-kilometer section of Line I of the “Gazimammad-Gazakh” main gas pipeline will undergo major repairs to ensure a high-volume and uninterrupted natural gas supply to the Hot-Briquetted Iron (HBI) plant.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the measure is included in the “State Program for the Development of the Mining (Metal Ores) and Metallurgical Industry for 2027–2030,” approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
Under the document, the technical condition of the main gas pipeline will be assessed and a major repair project will be prepared. Repair work will then be carried out on the 69-kilometer section to ensure a continuous and reliable natural gas supply to the HBI plant.
The project is part of broader efforts to strengthen the energy infrastructure supporting Azerbaijan’s industrial and metallurgical facilities. Reliable gas transportation is essential for maintaining stable operations at plants that depend on uninterrupted fuel supplies.
