The State Examination Center (SEC) of Azerbaijan has officially announced the results of the aptitude examinations held on August 4 for students seeking admission to undergraduate journalism programs.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the SEC, applicants can now access their results via the official SEC website. Out of the 827 students eligible to participate in the exam, 189 did not attend. Of those who sat for the assessment, 543 successfully received a passing grade.
Applicants who achieved a passing score are now eligible to select journalism as a major in their electronic applications alongside other preferences. The university major selection process is scheduled to take place from August 12 to August 19.
This year marked a significant shift in the examination process, as students were required to write their essays electronically on computers for the first time. This digital transition allowed applicants to present their ideas more clearly and efficiently, enabling easier editing and better time management. Furthermore, the shift to digital submissions has streamlined the evaluation process by eliminating challenges related to handwriting legibility.
For those wishing to appeal their results, the Appeals Commission will accept applications on August 10 and 11, from 10:00 to 17:00. Applicants must present their identification documents at the SEC's main administrative building in Baku (located at 299 H. Aliyev Avenue) or at the center's regional branches.
