Biography
In 2011–2015, Simnar Mamedov worked as an academic adviser at Baku State University; in 2015–2018, as Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan; and in 2018–2021, as Head of the Quality Assurance Sector and Head of the Academic and Methodological Department at the Azerbaijan Tourism and Management University. During this period, he participated in training courses on internal quality assurance systems in London, Vilnius, Stockholm and Alicante within the framework of the project “Establishment and Development of Quality Assurance Centres at Azerbaijani Universities”, as well as in the audit and certification process of the university’s ISO 9001:2015 quality management system.
Since November 2021, he has worked at the Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, first as a senior adviser in the Accreditation and Licensing Department and then as Head of the Training and Methodology Department. He led the preparation of training and methodological documents on quality assurance and participated in work on improving Level 5 qualifications under the Azerbaijani National Qualifications Framework, as well as on developing and piloting accreditation criteria for vocational education institutions.
He is currently Deputy Director of the State Agency for Vocational Education. He speaks English and Russian.
