Agakerim Samedzade
First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources
Biography
He was born on 16 April 1979 in Baku.
He began his career in 1997 as a legal adviser at the Azəravtoyol State Company and worked at the Centre for Socio-Economic Studies from 1999 to 2002. From 2002 to 2024, he held various positions at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including leadership positions for 17 years of that period. From 2024 to 2026, he served as an adviser to the Chairman of the Board and as Chief Executive Officer at the Azerbaijan Investment Company and the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund.
He was appointed First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources by Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 13 May 2026.
Education
He received higher education in philology and law at Baku State University and in management at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. From 2015 to 2018, he studied for a master's degree at the Faculty of Law of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
