Zidane holds first training session with France

France head coach Zinedine Zidane has conducted his first training session with the national team.

"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that football insider Fabrizio Romano shared the information on social media.

The 54-year-old manager took charge of France last summer. His employment contract with the national team will remain in force until mid-2030.

France are preparing for matches in the group stage of the UEFA Nations League. Zidane's team will face the national teams of Türkiye, Belgium and Italy.

France's previous head coach was Didier Deschamps. The manager left his post after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The UEFA Nations League is a competition for European national teams organized by UEFA. Its group-stage matches provide teams with regular competitive fixtures outside major tournament finals.
