Zelenskyy discusses Ukraine and France situation with Macron

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that he held a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Zelenskyy stated on his social media account that the conversation took place as he was returning from Washington. During the call, he briefed Macron on the outcomes of his meetings in the United States, including those held at the White House and the Senate.

The two leaders discussed diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving peace in Ukraine and the coordination of future steps. Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to Emmanuel Macron for France's ongoing support for Ukraine.

The discussion also touched upon the forest fires currently affecting France. The Ukrainian President offered assistance in firefighting efforts, noting that Ukrainian specialists are prepared to join operations if necessary.

Furthermore, the conversation focused on preparations for the upcoming winter season, the protection of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, and the strengthening of air defense capabilities. Such high-level diplomatic consultations are critical as Ukraine continues to seek international support for its energy resilience and defense strategies amidst the ongoing conflict.
