The 11th conference of the Nizami district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) was held on Sept. 14.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the event began with a visit to the monument of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, where flowers were laid. The memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Azerbaijan was honored with a minute of silence. The national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Rashadat Khaligov, deputy chairman of the YAP Nizami district organization, delivered a report at the conference. He said the organization had conducted its activities during the reporting period in accordance with the duties arising from the party’s Charter and Program, as well as the provisions of the Regulations on local organizations.
Consistent measures were taken to coordinate activities among territorial party organizations, improve the efficiency of work with members, and organize internal processes in a more flexible and targeted manner. Expanding party members’ participation in social and political processes, attracting new members, and increasing the public engagement of young people and women were also kept in focus. Ali Ahmadov, First Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) and deputy chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, spoke about YAP’s position in the country’s social and political life, National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s political legacy, the party’s development path and its future tasks. He stressed that the New Azerbaijan Party had gained public-wide support since its establishment and further strengthened its ranks both quantitatively and qualitatively. It was also noted that the policy founded by National Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev ensures Azerbaijan’s sustainable development amid modern challenges. Nizami District Executive Authority Head Joshgun Jabrayilov spoke about the role of the New Azerbaijan Party in Azerbaijan’s social, political and socioeconomic development. He said modern Azerbaijan, advancing decisively on the basis of the National Leader’s ideas and rich statehood legacy, was experiencing the most powerful period in its history. Jabrayilov noted that the country’s modern appearance and its place and role in the world’s political system were creating great enthusiasm and confidence in the future among the Azerbaijani people.
Sadaqat Valiyeva, who headed the YAP Nizami district organization for many years and is a former member of the Milli Majlis (National Assembly); Fuad Suleymanov, chairman of the territorial party organization at 1 Azer Manafov Street and head of SOCAR’s Training, Education and Certification Department; Edilman Mammadov, one of the founders of the YAP Nizami district organization and a participant in its first founding meeting; and Kamala Abdullayeva, deputy chairwoman of the territorial party organization at 110 Shirin Mirzayev Street and mother of martyr Zakir Jafarov, said the active participation of party members in social and political processes played an important role in implementing state policy and achieving the set goals.
The conference assessed the activities of the YAP Nizami district organization during the reporting period as satisfactory and elected delegates to the eighth congress of the New Azerbaijan Party. The anthem of the New Azerbaijan Party was performed at the end.
