President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the letter expresses gratitude for the mutual friendship between the two nations. "Dear Mr. President, I express my sincere gratitude to you for the congratulatory letter you sent on the occasion of the Spring Festival. On behalf of the Chinese Government and people, I sincerely congratulate you, the Government of Azerbaijan, and the entire people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of the traditional Novruz holiday," the message stated.
The Chinese leader emphasized the deepening ties between the two countries, noting that China and Azerbaijan are comprehensive strategic partners. "In recent years, mutual political trust has strengthened, and cooperation in all fields is developing. I attach great importance to the development of relations between China and Azerbaijan and am ready to make efforts together with you to further develop the China-Azerbaijan comprehensive strategic partnership and raise it to a new level for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries," Xi Jinping added, wishing President Ilham Aliyev robust health and prosperity.
The diplomatic relationship between Azerbaijan and China has seen significant growth under the framework of the "Belt and Road Initiative," with both nations cooperating closely on transport, logistics, and energy projects.
