Tramp: Ukraynanın enerji zərbələri müharibəni bitirə bilər

US President Donald Trump has stated that Ukraine's strikes on Russian oil and energy facilities, while escalatory in nature, could potentially hasten the end of the ongoing war. The remarks were made during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, where the US leader addressed questions regarding Ukraine's use of long-range strikes against Russian energy infrastructure.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Trump initially directed the inquiry to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, noting his direct involvement in monitoring the situation. Secretary Rubio remarked that a significant shift in the conflict over recent months has been Russia's increasing difficulty in defending its own airspace, adding, "We hope this will create the conditions for negotiations to end the war."

President Trump, in turn, emphasized that such tactical strikes might contribute to resolving the conflict. "It is an escalation, but it is also an escalation that could help lead to the end of the war," he stated. The US President reiterated his view that the Russia-Ukraine conflict remains an exceptionally complex geopolitical challenge. The ongoing war, which began in February 2022, has seen repeated shifts in strategy, with energy infrastructure becoming a critical focal point for both sides as they seek to exert pressure on the other's economic and logistical capabilities.
