US President Donald Trump has announced that significant progress is being made toward resolving the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, signaling a swift end to the hostilities. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the US leader emphasized his administration's commitment to global stability and conflict resolution.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, US President Donald Trump made these remarks during his address at the official signing ceremony of the charter for the "Peace Council" on Gaza. The President admitted that while he initially viewed the war in Ukraine as the "easiest war" to settle, the situation proved more complex. However, he remained optimistic about a breakthrough, stating, "We have held many meetings and made progress," regarding the efforts to end the confrontation.

The World Economic Forum (WEF), held annually in Davos, serves as a premier global platform where heads of state, business leaders, and international organizations gather to discuss pressing geopolitical and economic issues. The 2025 forum has placed a heavy emphasis on diplomatic solutions to regional conflicts, with the US administration playing a central role in mediating peace initiatives across both Eastern Europe and the Middle East. President Trump's participation underscores the strategic importance of international cooperation in addressing security challenges that impact global markets and humanitarian conditions.
