US President Donald Trump has announced the cancellation of a planned military strike against Iran.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the President shared this update via his account on the "Truth" social media platform.

President Donald Trump stated that the United States remains prepared to launch a strike against Iran at the highest level of readiness. "Nevertheless, Iran and other Middle Eastern nations requested that we halt the attack due to a potential agreement. This includes the immediate and full opening of the Strait of Hormuz, as well as an end to Iran's nuclear threat. For the sake of the world's future, and for a successful and prosperous Iran, I agreed to cancel the attack on the condition that an agreement is reached quickly. Israel also supports this commitment," the US President added.

The Strait of Hormuz is a critical maritime chokepoint, through which a significant portion of the world's oil supply passes. Tensions in the region have historically fluctuated based on diplomatic relations between Tehran and Washington, with nuclear non-proliferation and freedom of navigation serving as central pillars of US foreign policy in the Middle East.
