US intelligence agencies have successfully thwarted a coordinated terror plot aimed at attacking the White House.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the announcement was made by US Vice President J.D. Vance. Speaking during a live broadcast regarding the security threat surrounding an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event held at the White House on the night of June 15, Vance emphasized the severity of the situation.
“This is a terror plot. This is not just a few people being crazy. This is a coordinated terror plot,” Vance stated, highlighting the organized nature of the threat.
The White House, as the official residence and workplace of the US President, is one of the most heavily guarded locations in the world. Security protocols for events held on the grounds are typically stringent, involving coordination between the Secret Service, local law enforcement, and federal intelligence agencies. The prevention of such a plot underscores the ongoing challenges faced by US security services in monitoring and neutralizing threats against high-profile government targets in Washington, D.C.
