Representatives of the United States-based engineering and consulting firm AECOM have commenced field research in Armenia as part of the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP) project.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Armenian media, the project's progress was discussed during a meeting between Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and company representatives. The delegation presented the primary directions for the preparation of the project's feasibility study and outlined the anticipated outcomes of the research. This follows a high-level meeting between Grigoryan and a US delegation, including officials from the State Department and the Development Finance Corporation, to coordinate the implementation of the TRIPP initiative.

The TRIPP initiative is part of a broader strategy by the administration of US President Donald Trump to enhance regional connectivity and economic stability through strategic infrastructure investments. By focusing on energy security and technical feasibility, the project aims to foster long-term prosperity in the South Caucasus. This development comes amid ongoing efforts to diversify energy routes and strengthen economic ties between the United States and regional partners, reflecting Washington's continued interest in the geopolitical landscape of the region and its commitment to supporting strategic infrastructure projects abroad.
