Ukraine night attacks kill five and injure 14

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commented on overnight airstrikes carried out across several regions of the country.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that, according to Zelenskyy, the Russian army struck Ukraine with ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. The main targets were the capital, Kyiv, and populated areas nearby.

The strikes disrupted water and electricity supplies and damaged residential buildings. The Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Rivne and Zhytomyr regions also came under attack.

“According to the available information, 14 people were injured across the country as a result of these attacks. Unfortunately, five people, including one child, lost their lives,” Zelenskyy said.

A written statement issued by the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Air Force Command said that five ballistic missiles and 155 unmanned aerial vehicles launched by Russia against Ukraine had been neutralized.
