Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia launched ballistic missile strikes on his country overnight, but Western partners again failed to warn Ukraine about the attacks.
“Operative Information Center-OMM” reports that foreign media outlets carried the statement.
“Russia again carried out a ballistic attack in several waves overnight, and once again there was no warning from our partners,” the Ukrainian president said.
Zelensky said the attacks targeted Ukraine’s energy and infrastructure facilities.
The strikes damaged a medical facility, a school, a metro station and residential buildings.
He said 16 ballistic missiles and more than 200 drones were launched toward Kyiv and Kyiv region. The attacks caused casualties and damaged more than 10 energy infrastructure facilities. As a result, at least 550,000 households were left without electricity.
