Traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads in Baku as the new week begins.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an update regarding the current traffic situation in the capital.
According to the latest data, heavy traffic is currently observed in the following areas:
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
- 1st Lake Side Road, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, in the direction of the city center;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street to the intersection with Ataturk Avenue;
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitors traffic flow across the capital to ensure public safety and efficiency. These congestion patterns are typical for Monday mornings in Baku, as commuters return to work and school, increasing the volume of vehicles on major arterial roads. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and consider using public transportation or alternative streets to avoid delays.
