Sabah and Poland national team player Timoteusz Puchacz said he would return to Baku after ending his career. He made the comments in an interview with sportify.az.
Sabah’s win and the match against Borussia Dortmund
Puchacz said their 4-0 win over Gabala in the latest round was different from their previous matches. He said the team needed time to adjust because there had been many changes to the starting lineup. Despite this, the players performed well and secured three points.
Speaking about the match against Borussia Dortmund, the defender stressed that he approaches every game aiming to win, regardless of the opponent’s name. He said he would do everything he could to beat the Dortmund side.
Poland national team and life in Baku
Puchacz said changes to tactical formations in the Poland national team created difficulties for players. Hoping to get more playing time for the national team, he said he would try to prove himself in the Champions League and the Azerbaijan league.
Puchacz said he lives in Baku with his family and dog and that they love the city. Baku has become his home, he said, adding that he is glad to return to the city after national team duty.
“I will return to Baku even after ending my football career. Baku and the people of Azerbaijan mean a great deal to me. I truly love Azerbaijan and the people who live here,” Puchacz said.
