Free tickets for a meeting with Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi in Oviedo, Spain, sold out in 13 minutes, Sport.es reported.
Organizers made 4,700 tickets available to fans. During ticket distribution, as many as 16,200 people were waiting in the virtual queue on the website at the same time.
The event will take place on October 22 as part of Princess of Asturias Awards week. The Argentine footballer will meet children and young people at the Oviedo Sports Palace.
Messi will receive the Princess of Asturias Award for Sports the following day. The award recognizes his outstanding achievements in sport and philanthropic work.
