The result took Brighton’s goal tally for the first seven rounds of the season to 23. They lead the league in that statistic, with Manchester City second on 19 goals.

According to Sky Sports, only three teams have scored more goals in their opening seven Premier League rounds: Manchester City netted 27 in the 2019/20 season, Manchester United scored 24 in 2011/12, and Arsenal scored 24 in 2009/10.
