French club PSG and English side Arsenal are interested in signing Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, The Touchline’s account on the social network X reported.
Spanish clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona had previously also been reported to be interested in the 26-year-old Norway international. The clubs’ interest has been linked to Manchester City being found guilty of breaching the English Premier League’s financial rules.
The club could face sanctions, including possible relegation from the league. Such a development could lead to the departure of several of the team’s leading players.
On Sept. 29, an independent commission found Manchester City guilty on 114 of the 115 charges. The team has until Oct. 2 to appeal the decision.
Manchester City have won all five of their Premier League matches this season and lead the standings with 15 points. Haaland has scored five goals and tops the league’s scoring chart.
