Tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan have escalated significantly following reports of cross-border military actions. The Taliban administration in Afghanistan has officially confirmed that it conducted airstrikes targeting locations within Pakistani territory.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Afghan Ministry of Defense stated that these operations were carried out in the Saranan settlement of Pakistan's Balochistan province and various locations within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region. Kabul claims these strikes were directed at positions belonging to the ISIL (Daesh) terrorist organization.

In response, the Pakistani Armed Forces reported a firm reaction, stating that their air defense systems neutralized four unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over Balochistan. Local officials noted that one of the downed drones fell near a school in the Saranan settlement, resulting in two injuries. This incident follows reports from Monday, when Pakistan allegedly conducted airstrikes on eastern regions of Afghanistan, resulting in at least 28 fatalities. Pakistan consistently accuses the Taliban government of providing sanctuary to armed groups operating within its borders, a charge that the Taliban administration categorically denies.
