Two individuals have been detained in connection with a large-scale theft involving goods valued at 23,000 AZN from a store located in the city of Khudat, Azerbaijan.
According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the suspects, identified as Elman Imanov and Elchin Maharramov, were apprehended following a targeted operation. The stolen items included 14 televisions, three laptops, and three air conditioning units. Preliminary investigations revealed that one of the detained individuals was a former employee of the commercial facility.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, and by court order, a preventive measure of arrest has been chosen for both suspects. Law enforcement agencies in Azerbaijan continue to maintain a high level of vigilance to protect private and commercial property, particularly in regional hubs like the Khachmaz district, ensuring that those responsible for such offenses are brought to justice in accordance with the law.
