A customer’s bank card was stolen at a restaurant in Khachmaz district.
According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to "Operative Information Center-OMM", Saleh Sultanov, who is suspected of committing the offense, was detained during measures carried out by officers of the district police department. The investigation determined that after obtaining the card, S. Sultanov withdrew 1,590 manats from the account.
A criminal case has been initiated. A court ordered the pretrial detention of S. Sultanov.
Bank card theft and unauthorized cash withdrawals are investigated under Azerbaijan’s criminal legislation. Law enforcement agencies typically examine transaction records and other evidence to establish the circumstances of such incidents.
