Suspect arrested for theft in Baku's Khatai district

Police in Baku's Khatai district have apprehended a suspect involved in the theft of cash and silver items, with a total value of 1,700 manats, from a private residence.

According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), law enforcement officers identified and detained 32-year-old O. Hamzayev, who was previously convicted for similar theft-related offenses.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect gained unauthorized entry into the home by utilizing an unsecured window. Authorities are currently continuing their investigation into the incident.

Theft remains a significant concern for law enforcement agencies in Azerbaijan, which prioritize the protection of private property and public safety.
