The transfer of students in the 4th and 6th grades in Azerbaijan will be suspended starting from 18:00 on April 27.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the State Agency for Preschool and General Education (MÜTDA) reported that the temporary halt is intended to facilitate monitoring processes aimed at assessing student achievements in these grade levels. Officials noted that parents who have already initiated transfer requests must submit the required documentation to the relevant educational institutions by 18:00 on April 30.
The monitoring of student performance is a key component of the educational strategy in Azerbaijan, used to measure the effectiveness of the national curriculum and ensure quality control across public schools. These periodic assessments provide data-driven insights into student progress before they transition to higher levels of education. The transfer process for the 4th and 6th grades is expected to resume immediately following the completion of the monitoring period.
