Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the message reads:
“Your Excellency,
On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I extend my sincere congratulations to you on behalf of the people of the Republic of Slovenia and on my own behalf.
I am very pleased with the ongoing constructive cooperation and friendly relations between our countries. I am confident that we will deepen our bilateral ties in all areas of mutual interest and further develop cooperation across many sectors.
As both Slovenia and Azerbaijan remain committed to international stability and sustainable development, I believe that our cooperation within the framework of Europe and the international community will continue to expand and strengthen.
I highly appreciate your ongoing efforts toward establishing peace, stability, and good relations in the South Caucasus region, and I wish you success.
Your Excellency, please accept the assurances of my highest consideration.”
This diplomatic exchange highlights the growing ties between Azerbaijan and Slovenia, both of which actively participate in broader European and international dialogue. Azerbaijan, a key energy partner for Europe, has increasingly focused on strengthening its diplomatic footprint in the Balkans and Central Europe. President Ilham Aliyev’s administration continues to prioritize regional stability in the South Caucasus, a policy that has garnered support from various international partners, including Slovenia, as the nation works toward long-term peace and reconstruction in the liberated territories.
