Sabah focused solely on winning titles, president says

Sabah basketball club president Maqsud Adigozalov has spoken about the team’s objectives for the new season.

The club chief said Sabah had been competing for titles since making its Premier League debut in 2018.

“We are focused solely on winning titles. We also came for the title when we made our Premier League debut in 2018. It is just that expectations are higher this year,” Maqsud Adigozalov said.

He emphasized the team’s ambitions and noted the difficulty of competing on two or three fronts during the season.

“Competing on two or three fronts will be difficult. We are not the only ones doing this. In general, all other professional teams around the world must also get used to playing on two or three fronts,” the club president said.

Sabah’s participation across multiple competitions reflects the demands placed on professional basketball teams, which must balance domestic league commitments with other tournaments while maintaining squad depth and consistency.
