“Telegram”ın “App Store”dan silinməsinin səbəbi məlum oldu

The Telegram messaging application has clarified the reason behind its temporary removal from the Apple App Store platform.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, which cites reports from the Reuters news agency, the incident was triggered by the detection of illicit material within the application.

Apple reportedly removed the application temporarily after identifying content containing child sexual abuse material. Telegram management stated that the incident was caused by a single user who severely violated the messenger's terms of service. The company confirmed that the prohibited content was identified and that immediate remedial measures were taken to address the violation.

This is not the first instance of such an incident involving Telegram and the App Store. In 2018, Apple similarly removed the application from its store due to concerns regarding inappropriate content. At that time, the messenger's management successfully reinstated the application after implementing enhanced security protocols and content moderation safeguards.

Telegram, founded by Pavel Durov, has frequently faced scrutiny regarding its content moderation policies. As a platform that emphasizes privacy and encryption, it often navigates a complex balance between user data protection and compliance with international digital safety regulations enforced by major app marketplaces.
