Real Madrid will be represented by a large delegation at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in London on October 26, L’Équipe reported.
The Madrid club did not attend either of the previous two ceremonies. In 2024, Real Madrid withdrew at the last minute. One factor was Vinicius Junior losing the award to Manchester City midfielder Rodri. In 2025, the club was represented at the ceremony only by player Caroline Weir.
Several Real Madrid nominees will travel to London this year. The ceremony will take place the day after the club’s El Clásico against Barcelona. The match against the Catalan club is scheduled for Sunday, October 25.
Four Real Madrid players have been nominated: Kylian Mbappe, Marc Cucurella, Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior. In separate categories, Thibaut Courtois will compete for the “Goalkeeper of the Season” award, Yan Diomande for “Young Talent” and Felicia Schröder for “Women’s Young Talent.”
