Rashid Shamil oglu Vazirov has been appointed adviser to Labor and Social Protection Minister Anar Aliyev by ministerial order.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population provided the information to Operative Information Center-OMM.
Vazirov, born in 1979, is a graduate of Azerbaijan Medical University and holds a PhD in medicine. He has completed training and professional development programs in hospital management at ADA University and in Fukuoka, Japan.
He has held various positions at the Republican Diagnostic Center and the Central Oil Workers Hospital, and served as executive director of the Republican Diagnostic Center from November 2018.
He has worked for many years in healthcare management, coordination of international projects and the organization of medical support for large-scale events.
Vazirov was chief physician responsible for medical services at Formula One races and deputy head for medical and anti-doping affairs at the organizing committee for the 2015 European Games in Baku. He also served as an adviser on medical issues at the 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games, COP29 and the CIS Games.
At different stages of his career, he also worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
