Rashad Aslanov appointed Azerbaijan's ambassador to Turkey

Rashad Fakhraddin oglu Aslanov has been recalled from his positions as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Italian Republic, the Republic of Malta, and the Republic of San Marino. Furthermore, he has been relieved of his duties as the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, the World Food Programme, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President Ilham Aliyev signed the relevant decree to formalize this change in diplomatic representation.

By way of a separate decree issued by the head of state, Rashad Aslanov has been appointed as the new Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Türkiye. This appointment is part of a broader series of diplomatic reshuffles aimed at strengthening Azerbaijan's bilateral relations and strategic partnerships with key regional allies, particularly within the framework of the 'One Nation, Two States' doctrine that defines the close cooperation between Baku and Ankara.
