Rashad Mammadov, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Uzbekistan, has presented a copy of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Uzbek Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the development via its official account on the social media platform X.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of maintaining the high dynamics of political dialogue between the two nations. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation in trade, economy, and investment, as well as advancing joint projects in the critical sectors of transport and logistics.

The appointment of a new ambassador marks a significant step in strengthening the strategic partnership between Baku and Tashkent. Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan share deep historical, cultural, and linguistic ties, which have been further solidified in recent years through active high-level diplomatic exchanges and collaborative efforts within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
