Rain and flooding expected in Azerbaijan from Oct. 28

Azerbaijan’s National Hydrometeorological Service has forecast heavy rain, hail and mountain snowfall in eastern regions from Oct. 28-30.

Rain is expected mainly in Azerbaijan’s eastern regions on Oct. 28, with intermittent rainfall in some areas on Oct. 29-30.

The National Hydrometeorological Service said this, Operative Information Center-OMM reports.

Rain may be intense and short-lived in some places, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, while snow is possible in high mountain areas.

River levels are expected to rise, and short-term flooding and flash floods may occur on some mountain rivers.
