On May 5, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva visited the 19th Azerbaijan International Agricultural Exhibition and Forum - "Caspian Agro Week" and the 31st Azerbaijan International Food Industry Exhibition - "InterFood Azerbaijan" at the Baku Expo Center.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov briefed the head of state and the First Lady on the exhibitions. It was noted that the geography of the exhibitions has expanded further this year, featuring 447 companies from 45 countries. For the first time, Brazil, Ethiopia, and Northern Cyprus are represented with national pavilions, alongside national stands from Germany, Belarus, South Korea, Georgia, Italy, Indonesia, and the Netherlands.
The "Caspian Agro Week" covers agricultural machinery, irrigation, packaging, logistics, electronic agriculture, and innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, "smart village" concepts, and "green agro" sections. Simultaneously, "InterFood Azerbaijan" showcases products and services across the food industry, beverages, and food technologies. These exhibitions serve as a vital platform for promoting the "Made in Azerbaijan" brand, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and various international organizations including the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva toured various stands, including those of "Azersun Holding," "Agro Dairy," and international participants from Italy, Russia, and Turkey. The event highlights Azerbaijan's commitment to agricultural modernization and food security. Over 500 farmers from 51 regions of Azerbaijan are participating in tours to familiarize themselves with the latest industrial innovations and international best practices during the exhibition week.
