President Ilham Aliyev sends congratulatory letter to Egyptian leader

President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on the occasion of the country's national holiday, Revolution Day.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the letter states:

“Dear Mr. President,

On the occasion of July 23 – Revolution Day, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to the entire people of Egypt on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.

The current level of interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Egypt, which are developing in a spirit of friendship and mutual respect, is gratifying.

I am confident that, in accordance with the will of our peoples, the friendly relations between our countries, as well as our bilateral and multilateral cooperation, will continue to develop along an upward trajectory and expand further through our joint efforts.

On this festive day, I wish you robust health, happiness, and success in your activities, and the friendly people of Egypt lasting peace and prosperity.”

Background: Revolution Day in Egypt commemorates the 1952 revolution that led to the abolition of the monarchy and the establishment of a republic. Azerbaijan and Egypt maintain long-standing diplomatic ties, characterized by active cooperation within international organizations such as the Non-Aligned Movement and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening bilateral political and economic dialogue.
