"We will keep the people of Azerbaijan informed about the progress of events," Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the head of state's remarks during a meeting of the Security Council. President Ilham Aliyev further noted that the Ministry of Defense has already issued an official statement to the press regarding recent developments. "The people of Azerbaijan should be rest assured that any evil force will face our 'Iron Fist'," the head of state emphasized.
The term 'Iron Fist' became a symbol of Azerbaijan's military resolve and national unity during the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020. Since then, it has remained a central theme in the country's defense doctrine, representing the readiness of the Armed Forces to protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan. The Security Council, chaired by the President, serves as the primary deliberative body for national security, coordinating the activities of law enforcement and military agencies to ensure the safety of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
