Temporary power supply restrictions will be implemented in several areas of Baku today due to scheduled maintenance work on the electrical grid.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Azerishig OJSC has issued an official statement regarding the planned interruptions.

According to the statement, on July 17, maintenance work will be conducted at a transformer substation under the jurisdiction of the Narimanov District Power Supply and Sales Department. Consequently, electricity supply will be intermittently restricted from 09:00 to 13:00 for seven-story residential buildings located on Heydar Aliyev Avenue and Oruc Aliyev Street.

On the same day, due to repair work at a transformer substation in the Yasamal district, a planned outage will occur from 10:00 to 13:00 on Khidir Mustafayev, Abbas Mirza Sharifzade, Khagan Dadashov, Mirza Jabbar Mammadzade, Nariman Narimanov, and Taghi Shahbazi streets, as well as a section of Inshaatchilar Avenue.

Furthermore, maintenance and inspection work at a transformer substation within the Nizami district will result in a power outage during the same hours on the First Cross Street in Keshla settlement.

The utility provider also announced that maintenance at the 35/10/6 kV "Nubar" substation in the Absheron district will cause power interruptions from 10:00 to 17:00 in parts of the Ashagi Guzdek and Atyali residential areas. Additionally, maintenance work on the electrical network will lead to a power cut on Bunyad Sardarov Street in the Sabail district from 11:00 to 12:00.

Azerishig emphasized that these maintenance efforts are essential for upgrading the grid, ensuring that subscribers in the affected areas will receive more reliable and higher-quality electricity service once the work is completed.

Background: Azerishig OJSC is the state-owned entity responsible for the distribution and sale of electricity throughout Azerbaijan. The company regularly conducts scheduled maintenance and infrastructure modernization projects across the capital and the regions to improve network stability and meet the growing energy demands of the country's expanding urban infrastructure.
