Nikol Paşinyan Azərbaycan və Türkiyə ilə münasibətlərin normallaşdırılmasının vacibliyini vurğulayıb

Armenia is actively pursuing the normalization of relations with Turkey and Azerbaijan, a process that the country's leadership views as essential for balancing its foreign policy. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed these diplomatic goals via his social media accounts.

"I am confident that we will achieve the normalization of relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey, which means that a balanced foreign policy will create new opportunities for Armenia," Pashinyan stated.

The Prime Minister noted that the current lack of diplomatic ties with Turkey highlights an asymmetry in Armenia's foreign relations. He emphasized that restoring this balance requires maintaining stable relations not only with Turkey and Azerbaijan but with all states in the region. "This is not a matter of whim; it is a necessity for us to maintain relations with Turkey, Azerbaijan, and, in general, all states," he added.

The normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan has been a central topic in regional diplomacy following the 2020 Patriotic War and the subsequent restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. Ongoing negotiations, facilitated by various international actors, aim to finalize a comprehensive peace treaty that would formally end decades of conflict and open regional communication channels, including the Zangezur Corridor, which is vital for regional connectivity.
